Strive To Improve, Play To Include
Improving your game is encouraged – but inclusion matters just as much. Be patient, mix in with different players and remember what it felt like to be new. If someone leaves the court feeling more confident because of you – you’re contributing to the kind of community we want to build.
Be The Reason Someone Stays
A welcoming attitude makes a huge difference. We notice new faces, learn names and invite people in. Celebrate effort as much as results, keep energy positive and help create an environment where people feel comfortable returning week after week.
Mistakes Happen
Power Pickleball is a safe place to learn and develop. Everyone makes mistakes and mixed ability levels are expected. Respect your fellow players, accept errors without complaint and focus on progress rather than perfection.
No Unsolicited Coaching
Unless someone specifically asks, advice is not given on-court during games. Matches are for playing – not correcting technique or strategy. Encourage your partner, trust others to learn at their own pace and keep interactions positive and supportive.
Competitive, Not Aggressive
Intensity is welcome – aggression is not. Dangerous shots, reckless play, intimidation or confrontational behaviour have no place here. Play hard but stay in control – and always prioritise safety and respect.
Respectful Language & Behaviour
Power Pickleball is for everyone. Foul, abusive or discriminatory language is not acceptable, nor is shouting at partners, opponents or organisers. Frustration happens in sport – it’s how you handle it that matters.
Respect The Court & The Session
Arrive on time, rotate fairly, follow session formats and respect the venue, equipment, staff and volunteers. Everyone’s experience improves when we share the court responsibly and play our part in keeping sessions running smoothly.
Inclusivity & Belonging
We welcome players of all backgrounds, identities, experience and ability levels. Any form of harassment, exclusion or discrimination undermines the community we’re building and will not be tolerated.
Personal Responsibility & Safety
Players are responsible for their own wellbeing. Warm up properly, know your limits and step off court if injured or unwell. If something feels unsafe, raise it with the Power Pickleball team – looking out for each other is part of the game.
Social Media & Representation
When posting online or representing Power Pickleball in public, act in a way that reflects the values of the community. Respect the privacy of others and avoid sharing content that could make fellow players uncomfortable.
Organiser Decisions
Organisers are responsible for maintaining a positive and safe environment. Their decisions on behaviour, safety and session management are final and made in the best interests of the group.
Our Standards
Power Pickleball is about high energy, good vibes and great competition. We take the game seriously, not ourselves. Show up ready to play, support others and enjoy being part of the community.
